Seaside Family Space
This open family room is the ultimate retreat. A large coffee table grounds the space in a weathered finish. A pair of X-motif side chairs is upholstered in a light blue and neutral fabric, and a small settee provides additional seating. The main focal point in the space are custom built-ins with X-mullions on the large upper doors. Shirred panels behind the doors are fabricated in a nautical coral and turquoise print.
Open Concept Family Room

Lofted Ceiling, Large Pendant Shade
A large custom pendant shade by Seascape Lamps, provides a statement over the large distressed coffee table. “Rope” artworks by Natural Curiosities continue the nautical theme.
Overall Living Room Seating
A sloped arm neutral sofa provides generous seating. Pillows incorporate turquoise and coral accents.
X-Mullion Doors
Behind the cabinetry door mullions are shirred panels in a nautical coral and turquoise fabric by Manuel Canovas. Beach-inspired accessories adorn the driftwood coffee table.
Mirrored Side Table
In the living room a faux shagreen round side table with an inset mirrored top provides a landing place for beverages and snacks.
Nautical Son's Bedroom
The lower level bedroom features a modern canopy bed. The walls are covered in a textural navy and natural grasscloth, and at the far wall is displayed a weathered piece of driftwood, which the family found ashore.
Nautical Bedroom Seating
A pair of modern chairs are upholstered in a Kravet faux bois fabric. They are paired with modern bronze floor lamps, and driftwood-inspired side tables. The bedroom carpet is sisal.
Bedroom Grasscloth Close-Up
A close-up view of the grasscloth wallcovering in the son’s bedroom. On either side of the bed are a pair of simple night tables in a neutral finish. The room palette is a mix of warm browns and cool blues. Artwork in the space reflects the nautical theme.
Son's Bedroom Drapery Panels
This room view shows the expansive French doors that lead to the outdoor pool. The drapery panels are mounted at ceiling height to emphasize the height of the ceilings. Metal finishes throughout the space are a dark bronze.
Bedroom Vanity
The downstairs bedroom has its own vanity and custom storage, right off of a shared bath. The slate tile floor is warmed with a contoured sisal area rug with brown cotton binding. The walls are covered in a warm brown and blue grasscloth.
Beach-Inspired Kitchen
The custom cabinetry in this kitchen is hand-glazed in a sandy hue, with acrylic pulls that mimic beach glass. The countertops are in a clean white Quartz, and simple stainless parsons shelves are mounted at the windows for storage. A Wolf range and stainless hood complete the appliance suite (The refrigerator and other appliances are concealed with custom panels).
Secondary Kitchen Island
A secondary kitchen island abuts a built-in banquette for the ultimate use of space, in this open plan. The white faux bois lamps are from Circa Lighting, and the woven counter stools are from Artesia. The blonde wood flooring is installed on the bias, to add some extra emphasis to the space.
Dining Banquette
As mentioned, the dining banquette is built into the backside of kitchen cabinetry. The fabric, which matches the shirred panel fabric in the nearby living room cabinetry, has been laminated for ease of cleaning. The organic white chandelier is by Arteriors.
Built-In Bunks
The Bunk Room includes four built-in beds with plenty of storage and display space. All millwork is painted a calming seafoam green, with a matching contoured wool area rug to match. An antique swivel has been painted white, and reupholstered in a complimentary stripe. The windows are dressed with simple flat Roman shades in a coordinating white and blue stripe.
Bunk Room Overall
A cozy window seat with a striped cushion provides a reading nook for visitors. The top bunks, and a special lofted bed-space, are accessed by ladders.

The view from the top loft showcases all four bunks. Custom bedding is by Legacy Home. An antique desk provides a small workspace.
Bunk Room Entrance
The bunk room features a ladder on casters that leads to a lofted private bedroom space.
Lofted Hang-Out Space
The lofted private space off the bunk room contains a comfy lounge space with lots of natural light. A nickel sconce provides task lighting for reading in the evening hours. A drapery panel with grommets provides privacy from the area below.
Lofted Bed Space
In addition to the sofa, the hidden loft has a concealed bed on a platform. An additional curtain is installed here for light control and additional privacy.
Light-Filled Seaside Guest Bedroom
The guest bedroom features a warm straw-colored grasscloth wallcovering, paired with navy and bright white. An upholstered bed is covered in a coordinating yellow fabric, and bedding is by Legacy Linens. A cozy window beach is dressed with a quilted navy cushion, and bolster pillows to coordinate with the window treatments. The lacquered raffia bedside table is by Bungalow 5.
Guest Bedroom Private Deck Access
The guest bedroom lets in lots of light through French doors out to the deck, which are dressed with Roman shades with yellow linen banding. The area rug is sisal with a navy cotton binding. The artwork features sailboats.

As mentioned, the bedside tables are in a lacquered raffia finish, and bedside lamps feature white coral with lucite bases. The artwork over the bed is a custom display of found sand dollars mounted to navy linen.

Wall-To-Wall Guest Bath Tiling
The inspiration for the Guest Bath comes from Turkish baths will all-over tiling. The seamless glazed wall tile unifies the space. A ledge above the wall-mounted tub spigot allows for storage.

This second shot emphasizes the drop-in tub with tiled apron, and surrounding walls and ceiling. Nearby satin nickel robe hooks provide a handy location for towels.
Master Bedroom with Vaulted Ceiling
The master bedroom’s walls and ceilings are enveloped in a warm, textural grasscloth wallpaper. The white canopy bed is by Oly, and nickel reading sconces are by Circa Lighting. The area rug was hand-knotted in Nepal, and the gorgeous white coral chandelier is by Currey & Company.
Bedside Desk
The master bedroom features a bedside writing desk to one side. The seafoam lamps are by Chelsea House. Sheer drapery panels provide privacy, but also allow a soft light to illuminate the space.
Bedside Accessories
Eclectic treasures are carefully displayed throughout the home, including the homeowners’ extensive collection of found seashells, and this jade bird.
Clam Shell With Sea Glass Beads
The living room coffee table features an oversized decorative clam shell with decorative glass beads.
Entry
The main entrance opens to a slate tile floor in a staggered bond, and a raffia wallcovering. The neutrals in the space reflect the palette of the sand and shells. The surface-mounted statement fixture incorporates shells into its frame. A mirrored chest by Made Goods provides a convenient landing space.
First Floor Serving Area & Storage
This room on the first floor is right off the entrance from the outdoor pool. The walls are clad in blonde shiplap to match the wood floors throughout the home. The tile floor is installed in a herringbone pattern. Rope drawer pulls echo the seafaring theme. Woven wicker accessories are by Matahari Home.
Laundry Space
This multi-function space contains a convenient utility sink, and concealed laundry behind a sliding door. The entire space, including the walls, cabinetry, and sliding door, is clad in blonde wood shiplap. The area has a herringbone-accent area in a tumbled stone.
Master Bath Double Vanity
The main architectural feature in the master bath is this stunning round window, which provides a scenic view. The vanity is painted a cream color which coordinates seamlessly with the trim color, and basketweave-tiled floor. The walls and wall tile are in a muted light blue reminiscent of the sea. Fixtures throughout are in nickel.
Master Shower
The shower floor tile runs seamlessly into the generously-sized master shower. A clear glass enclosure makes the space feel open, and the glazed shower tile runs across the shower ceiling as well. Open shelving off the shower provides linen storage.
Full Bath with Tiled Shower Enclosure
This full bath on the lower level contains and open console sink in a weathered wood finish. The shower is outfitted with glazed wall and floor tiles, and a generously-sized rain shower head with an integral hand-shower.
Powder Room with Statement Tile
The powder room features a glass penny round tile, which runs from the floor up the vanity wall. A tiled niche above the floating porcelain sink provides some needed storage. The nickel mirror reflects the nautical theme.
Stairwell
A nickel pendant fixture from Circa Lighting is centered on two vertical windows in the white and airy stairwell.
Pool-Side Access
Pool essentials are stored in this built-in bench when not in use. A trio of nickel sconces light the hallway, and hooks provide a landing spot for wet towels.
Exterior Entrance
The exterior of the home is clad in cedar shakes, which are prevalent throughout New England. A custom sconce in copper and bronze illuminates the facade, and the front door greets guests with an inviting turquoise hue.
